Coronavirus: FRSC shutdown DLCs (Drivers License Centers) database temporarily in Abuja with immediate effect. Following the lockdown directive by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari on the COVID-19 Pandemic. The shutdown order was announced by the Federal Road Safety Corps commander Dr Boboye Oyeyemi. However, this means that the drivers license centers will not be able to process license for applicants nationwide.
Coronavirus: FRSC Shutdown DLCs But There Is Hope For Applicants
The shutdown is aimed at sustaining the existing endeavour already in place by the Federal Government. To curtail further spread of the menace according to the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem. But there is hope for applicants wishing to renew there drivers licenses. They can renew there licenses via the Bye-pass mode which will be processed and be delivered after the lockdown period.
The FRSC boss Dr Boboye Oyeyemi had earlier advised applicants to avoid physical capture at this critical moment. When the world is battling pandemic (COVID-19) and to explore the Bye-pass option. Which is the online processing of the National Drivers License without physical presence of the applicant at the Drivers License Centers.
Applicants should note that the Bye-pass option is applicable only to those who intend to renew their licenses. And not the fresh applicants.
